15th June: jaybee adventure with beauty and the beast!

we set off quite early this time, meeting time was 11am and the q for the bus was so long that we have to seek alternative!

I believe Singapore was quite empty last Saturday as woodlands custom was jam packed with ppl. anyway we waste too much time on the jam and q. we managed to reached city square and settled our lunch at 龙的传人 and doremon was our entertainment.

we proceed to kSL after that to hiao like a boss, holiday plaza for Medi & pedi, leg massage and shop like a typical tourist at the local product shop.

dinner was settled at tahma Sentosa for seafoods!

foodful days with siao ehx

I can't rmb when was the last time we meet but meet out is always an enjoyable.

this time we planned something, unlike the usual ktv and dinners.

I thought group therapy will be suitable for us (a group of ten) but they don't accept reservation so der recommended D.O.C (department of caffeine) located at duxton as well.

I believe D.O.C will be good if they have more foods and they don't make us sit outside the toilet! we were quite uncomfortable and with the limited foods on the menus, we ordered drinks only.


we left after we finished our coffee and hoping group therapy can give us a call so that we can hop over and get some bites.

we were lucky enough, before we hop onto the cars leaving for somewhere with foods, group therapy called.

another disappointment from this cafe, most of their foods were out of stock and it's only one plus two. so we just make do with the foods they left.

both cafes are quite disappointing but the companies were great! ❤❤

big mama @ tiong bahru

I had visited Big mama earlier this year in 9th Jan with my colleague, twin and christine.

the side dishes were serve and is refillable too.

this is damn delicious too. the sauce and the fried nian gao too.


Haemul Buchu Jeon

it's a fried pancake with seafood, I like how crispy it is and it's my fav dish among all.


I'm not a big fan of Korean foods but Big Mama is worth trying. it's the only Korean food that I will crave for.

but but but after the meal you will have the BBQ smell and it sucks if you are taking train home.

miss the girls who left for a better offer and future.

carpenter and cook

haven't been blogging for the longest! life have been good excluding all the unhappy events that happened.
knowing this friend of mine for so long, we found the common interest in us and that's foods. so our first stop is to carpenter and cook, located at bukit timah. ikr, the gems are always hiding at the ulu places.

look at the cakes they have, everything looks damn yummy and we have a hard time picking what to eat.


I was so in love with this session, they sells vintage decoration stuffs apart from foods.


we were pretty lucky to have seats when we reached there. after we settled down with our foods, big group of crowd starts to flow in.


the foods that we ordered, everything was so tasty.





be sure to try this passion fruit pastry. I believe this is a must have if you visit carpenter and cook. be there early to enjoy this, when I wanted to order a second piece, it was sold out :((

carpenter and cook is worth visiting and the foods weren't expensive too. I will definitely go back for the passion fruit pie look alike thingy again.

16.06.2012 - Riders Cafe + ECP

16th June 2012

I had been reading a lot about Riders Cafe located at Bukit Timah Road. I tried to make a reservation the previous Saturday but due to D's nephew full month, we had to cancel it. This time round i made another reservation at 1.15pm. It is advise to make a reservation before making your way down, it was full house when we reached and need to wait for awhile for them to prepare the table for us. It is good to go down early, as the weather was too humid the day. 

Steak Frites of Angus Rib-Eye, Café de Paris Butter & Seasoned Fries

Blackstone Benedict with Bacon & Tomatoes, Poached Eggs & Hollandaise on rustic Sourdough

Riders Burger with Rocket, Brie, Relish, Bacon & Seasoned Fries

Personally, i would prefer the brunch set as compare to the main. In my opinion, the beef is not as tasty too. The waitress said that the riders burger is one of the dish that most people ordered. Initially i wanted Smoked Salmon & Creamed Eggs, Avocado on Turkish Pide but they do not have it. 

It is an interesting dinning place, well i did not manage to see any horses walking around :C due to the super hot and sunny weather. 

 We headed to East Coast Parking for cycling, requested by my sis. I hate the sun, i hate how crowded it is in a weekend but promised the sister to accompany her. We rented a bike, a not so good but still can cycle, 3 hours for $11. We had a few stop over point in between to rest and hydrate ourselves, not much picture. 

After the tiring cycling, we headed back to the west for a simple dinner at Bukit Batok. My all time favourite, sambal fried rice and prawn paste chicken wings.

This is our first time trying new dishes, since we have more people, the beancurb and the sambal kang kong.The hawker center was crowded due to Father's Day.

We ended the night early. We were too tired and sticky to do anything else. 

Time flies, 1 month of holiday had flew past. Examination results are releasing tomorrow, *Cross Fingers and toes*, another 7 working days to my last day and 2 more weeks to BKK! 

After bkk, it will be a brand new chapter of life and it means school start too. I am still waiting to sign my appointment of lease, when will the letter come :C
