a short getaway to Kuala Lumpur on Jan 2012.
The reasons for this getaway are:
1. my sis virgin plane experience.
2. is to experience the KTM train ride from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore.
This time round we booked Jetstar instead of Tiger. Jetstar is much more convenience as compare to Tiger because we do not have to travel to budget terminal and Terminal 1 have so much more to walk and foods to choose from.
We left home as early as 7am because of the 1 hr plus ride to Airport for the 1040hrs ride. Some pictures on the way to the airport. Although it was 7plus in the early morning, the train was filled with people, we can barely get any seats.
Checked in
breakfast at Ya Kun.
Some random tourist shot we before we realized that we gonna be late for the plane, i think we were the last few to board the plane.
Almost missed the plane but still have the time to take tourist photos.
Finally on board and its pictures time again and look who i bring inside my bag? Its the cookie boy!
The half an hour journey was smoothed and we reached Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
We had a hard time searching for the bus terminal where we can take the cheapest transport from KLIA to KL sentral for RM 10. We had to approach the police and asked for the way. Finally 4 tickets to KL Sentral. The bus journey was rather long that we fell asleep.
When we reached KL Sentral, we had to take the monorail before we reached Bukit Bintang where our hotel is located at. This is a budget trip so we take the public transport most of the times, this is a way to explore too.
Finally, we checked into the hotel. We booked the Deluxe Room, on that day they ran out of Deluxe room and they upgraded our room to Executive room. Whoots! Executive Room is so much bigger and spacious with a living room.
We did some unpacked here and there and off we went for A&W for dinner, it is located nearby our hotel, a street away. D treated us this, i think.
After lunch, we went to time square to purchase the bus ticket for the sisters as they need to head back to Singapore a day earlier, Sunday, as Annie will be taking her O level result on Monday.
After that we took a cab to Mid Valley Mall, the mall that i thought i have never go before but i went before during one of the families trips. Mid Valley Mall is a big malls but there's nothing special. We decided to change the destination to KLCC for some photo.
The clever us saw a advertisement on shuttle bus from Mid Valley Mall to the nearest LRT which was a few station away from KLCC. We had a hard time searching for the bus stop but we managed to find it in the end.
These are the tokens for the Rapid KL.
i should end this post here, shall continue the rest of the day 1 entry too.
