Jan 2012 - Kuala Lumpur Getaway Day 3

Breakfast was at lot 10. We had a quick bite and did some last min shopping before we checked out from the wonderful hotel.

After we checked out, we took the monorail to KL Sentral, that's where the ktm train station is located. The instruction on the tickets/ announcement wasn't so clear that we kinda lost at which is the arrival hall. The train delayed.
We got real bored that i decided to walk around the place, sadly there's nothing much to shop and i managed to buy some snacks on board.
Finally the train came. It was just like boarding the MRT in Singapore. We do not need to queue for the custom clearance. We took the escalator down, find the session of the train, board the train, find the seats and that's all.

Some shots while waiting for the train to move.

Our huge luggage.
Some random shots after we left KL Sentral and headed to the next stop, the journey was slow and long that we took a short nap before we woke up at the next station.

The daring us went down the train when it stopped to take some quick shots, the train stopped for less than 5 mins.

The whole journey was slow. We managed to bought this cold noodles on board. This train that we took do not have a canteen :(

The whole journey took more than 6 hours, by the time we reached Singapore, it was dark.

I experienced what my mum meant that when the train reached JB, we do not need to alight and queue for the custom clearance. The officer actually came on board and signed on our passport, they used a red pen to sign on it.

By the time we reached Singapore, i received sms saying that my baby niece is out to see the world.

Jan 2012 - Kuala Lumpur Getaway Day 2

We got up pretty early on the Second day, due to the tight schedule. We started the brunch with PaPa John's, its a must have for my sis for the KL trip. They serve pizza that are thin and crispy. Personally, i think it's worth trying if you like thin pizza. We were the early birds in the restaurant.

The set that we ordered:

After the brunch, we shopped around times square. I have never complete the mall although i have been there for a few times. shopping tips: for cheap bargain, always start from the top floor, the items selling in the first few levels are quite atas.

My sis managed to get the shades at a reasonable price.
I had my shared tea for 20% off, seriously!
I love the hotel location. I can always head back to the hotel to put down my shopping bag and rest before i start on another mall. Times square and Piccolo hotel are located needs only 1 monorail station away or 10 mins walk away. We are the budget type, so we always walk from the hotel to the shopping malls.

We did not stay too long in Times Square, as there are better bargains at Sungei Wang shopping mall. I loves how cheap the things are, we managed to get 3 sets of earpiece at RM 15 each with a not so bad sound quality. Well, we were too busy shopping, hence, no pictures.

After Sungei Wang, We went back to the hotel to place our shopping bags before we head over to The pavilion for dinner. Our hotel is a street across Sungei Wang shopping mall. There is an overhead bridge linking the monorail and lot 10.

Dinner was at some atas chinese restaurant, located at the basement of the mall. The foods were so-so.

We did some last min shopping before the sisters took their coach back to Singapore. The coach tickets was bought when we reached KL, that explained the relatively cheap as compare to the tickets we intend to buy online.

To get the coach ticket: it is located outside times square, when you exit time square, there will be taxi everywhere, walk towards left side and you may see a counter below the overhead bridge. That's where we got the tickets and boarding for the bus. The bus go by Second Link stopped at Tanmah Jurong and after that Golden Mile.

We ended the night quite late, as the departure time of the coach is 2355hrs.

Jan 2012 - Kuala Lumpur Getaway Day 1 part 2

Although i have been to Kuala Lumpur a few times, this is the first time that i went to KLCC. Tourist Photos again.

We manage to have a nice angle with the two towers. A few pictures before the Security Guard   said that we are not suppose to climb on the benches.

Like this photo of the 4 of us.

After the pictures taking of the external building, how can we not shop inside the mall. The mall was huge but we were not very interested with the atas shopping.

A few night photos before we left KLCC and headed to Jalan Alor for dinner.

we do not want to take the lrt and change monorail so we decided to walk back to bukit bintang. We are looking at the map and searching for our way. It was a long walk, 20-30 mins, before we reached our hotel. We decided to slack and rest our legs in the hotel before we headed for our dinner which is 10mins walk away.

We headed to the stall that we went for the yummy chicken wings. The wings are damn nice that we wanted to tabao back to the hotel for supper but we were too full. It is located right at the end of Jalan Alor street.

Some of the dishes that we ordered.

We did a bit of shopping around Jalan Alor before we end the night. By then our legs were so tired and we were too exhausted from all the walking. We ended the night at eleven or twelve plus so we will have the energy to shop for the next day.
