I have been craving for some good foods last weekend but I failed to look for it due to the packed schedule.
I went Chinatown with mum and Peggie to queue for Bak Kwa and I thought I was early but when I reached there the person don’t allow me to queue he said it’s out of stock ): In the end I still got the Bak Kwa but it’s in mini slice instead of the slice Bak Kwa, better than nothing, I believe.
Wondering which Bak Kwa did I queue?
Yes, Lim Chee Guan, I saw fb’s status that everyone is craving for it and I know I must give it a try.
It was a hot Saturday afternoon, and it was already crowded please. Although at the end of the day Peggie gotta pai seh us for her driving and throwing what she got for us to bring me, I bet all of us had fun and 满在而归.
We went to Sheng Siong to shop for New Year goodies too on the same day. We are prepared for CNY, left a bit of cleaning to be done? This year New Year is going to be DIFFERENT! I’m so looking forward, because mum won’t be in Singapore meaning I can go out after Chu Yi! WHEEEE.
Sidetrack a bit, No, please do not have the mindset of an old fashion who thinks that this is 逃年, or whatever you called it.
1. My mum is taking the night flight of the 3rd Feb, which means we will still go for home visiting as usual in the morning that is something that will not change.
2. Mum will still give out Ang Pao as usual.
Why chose on the New Year?
1. Due to the long holidays, adults who are working do not have to take leaves.
Why I said this is not逃年?
1. With the intention of逃年, she would have joined my cousin who is going on the 31st Jan but she did not. WHY?
a. The reasons are simple, because my dad is a traditional man who thinks that New Year is important, so she chose to go after home visiting on the 3rd Feb.
b. Every year without failed, she will have to prepare the baibai’s stuffs that’s why she rejected to go on the 31st Jan.
c. She is being responsible.
Seriously, I think all the ignorance people should just stop judging, even if you want to judge, please get the facts right first.
Here are the reasons why I support my mum for going BKK:
1. After slogging all her 50+ years of her life, she has not take the plane before. Yes, not even once. This is because I do not come from a well off family so there isn’t any chance for my mum to travel by flight.
2. My mum had spent most of her time taking care of us, now we have grown up isn’t this the time she enjoy her life?
3. This is like the cheapest flight as compare to Taiwan, Hong Kong or any other place, and my mum did not even ask for any further places.
4. My mum is so elated that she finally got the chance to take the plane and I believe this is the best time for her to enjoy her life too.
Words coming out from people’s mouth just do not do any justices to my mum. FYI, my mum paid for the whole trip with her own money that she saved.
家家有本难念的经 (each and every household have their own problems), the least the people can do is to shut up and stop giving comments or worst teach ones what and how they should do by just listening to one sided story. No, I’m not pin-pointing at anyone, I’m just voicing out my thoughts. Please stop everything before everything turns ugly.
I believe it is everyone’s job to respect one another and learn how to look at things at the bigger picture. I think we should know to admit the mistakes instead of pointing the fingers at each other. If you get what I meant, so please do what you should do or if you are kind enough please help to convey these messages.
Anyway, we will be organizing a family movie session this coming Monday, hopefully it’s a positive answer from all. *Cross fingers*
